No fondling the paper products!

What is it with hotels these days? Why do they need to fold the end of the toilet paper to look like an artist's rendition of a French poodle? Although I am a dog lover, I really don't need my the end of my toilet paper roll to be scrunched up to look like a terrier or a schnauzer. Granted, toilet paper's primary function is to go where other paper-products won't go to perform a dirty job, but there is really something skeevy about the thought of someone artfully arranging the same paper I am about to use to wipe my bu!t. Straight into the crapper for the end sheet!

...and that is just the toilet paper; don't get me going on the facial tissue.

Rock on Connecticut!

In an historic decision, Connecticut’s Supreme Court ruled today that gay and lesbian couples in the Constitution State deserve marriage. Not domestic partnerships or civil unions, but full and equal marriage and the respect and security that only marriage provides.

Onward and upward!

There is not much I that I think is honorable about McCain

I used to give John McCain credit for his service and sacrifice for our country. I still respect that, but I no longer consider him honorable. No, I haven't even remotely considered voting for him during this campaign, but I can't even find myself respecting a man who, well, is losing it on many levels and who doesn't have the decency to stop spewing venom everytime he opens his mouth via a campaign ad.

In times past, he might have served his country. Currently he is serving himself while doing a greater disservice to many people in this nation by ingraining more fear in their life.

Sadly, fear is one of the most potent motivators in our lives and the lives of most animals. In an ideal world, I would hope that the voting public is brighter than what McCain would want us to believe. Unfortunately, and still with some trepidation, I fear that the majority of the voting public won't come to its senses before pulling the lever on election day. Here's hoping I am proven wrong and that the polls showing that the tide is turning blue are correct.

My girl has got a point

Why I love my gal -

Palin can say "Can I call you, Joe?" but Biden can't call her Sarah without being called sexist.

I love MMBG.

And where the heck is Hillary Clinton... I am disliking her more the less she speaks.

Huh?

So what is one to think when you call the airline you are about to fly on, and they end the call by saying "Have a safe trip tomorrow"?

Thanks, United, and pass the Ambien...
